When we advertise a current vacancy, the application kit will include Selection Criteria and a position description. You should read the position description to understand what the job involves, and what we expect from a successful applicant.
When you submit your application, you should include:
· A brief cover letter stating which position you are applying for
· Your statement addressing the selection criteria
· Your resume
· Your completed Working With Children Background
Consent Form
· Your Working With Children Check
· Your Police Check - along with copies of 100pts of identification

Addressing selection criteria:
You should also write a statement addressing each of the selection criteria. This is the information we use to decide whether or not we will offer you an interview. It is not enough to say I am committed to. Or I understand the principles of. By giving examples from your work you can demonstrate how your experience and/or training will allow you to meet the requirements of the role. Please keep these statements brief no more than a paragraph or two.
Resumes:
Your resume should be current, and include the names, position and contact details of 3 professional referees. Please do not include any original certificates or other official documents, as they will not be returned. Please do not include copies of any certificates unless they are specifically requested in the selection criteria. For example we may ask for a degree or certificate in aged care.
General hints:
Remember to check your spelling and grammar we look at how your application is presented as well as the information in it. Please do not print your application or Resume on coloured paper, or put it in a folder. Although they may look attractive, this can make it difficult for us to read your application. A well-written application will sell itself.
